Susan Breen

Susan Breen‘s remedy series is a mediation on ever-evolving social, psychological and physical maladies, transformed through abstract visual representations of what might, in theory, relieve those states of being. Often grounded in symmetry, having derived broadly from Mandalic symbology, they are influenced by the artist’s interests in botany, physics, Eastern philosophy and medicine. They express possibility and hope where neither comes too freely, and reflect an intuitive awareness of our universal need to heal.
