Jose Baez
Jose Baez (b.1986) is a visual artist born in New York City where he currently lives and works. He uses mixed-media collage-based paintings and murals to deconstruct and reinterpret familiar images. Taking a familiar subject and intentionally changing its meaning by abstracting materials reflects his influence as a self-taught and traditionally trained artist. Jose’s work has been featured in interviews, publications, and galleries in the Northeast United States and as part of ongoing community-based art programs.
