Knox Martin (1923 - 2022)

Knox Martin was an American painter, sculptor, and muralist. Born in Barranquilla, Colombia, he studied at the Art Students League of New York from 1946 until 1950 and then taught classes in art history and painting there throughout his life. Knox Martin also taught at the Graduate School of Art, Yale University, New York University, International School of Art, Italy, and Fort Rajgat, India. He has had many international exhibitions and has received numerous grants.
