The exhibition presents a new body of works by Philadelphia-based contemporary artist Thomas Buildmore, as a tribute to the great artistic achievements in art history. The artist, a diploma-holder from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, has participated and curated many fine art installations in various venues, drawing appreciation from leading publications such as The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, The New York Daily News, Time Out, and the Philadelphia Inquirer. His works center around the reinterpretation of the iconic imageries of recognizable masterful paintings from art history with the use of spray paint providing a modernized take on these works. The artist co-founded Overkill Studio Philadelphia with fellow Artist and Photographer Dan King which features 2700 square feet of creative space.
